Qualified pre-school teachers prepare 3-5 year-old children for their school years. Children learn to write, count, sit and listen, follow directions, interact with other children, recognize and express feelings, use words to solve conflict, make friends and have fun as they sing songs, participate in arts and crafts, nature studies and much more.

YMCA School Age Care: Grades K – 6

At the YMCA we create safe, structured environments under the supervision of caring adult staff who will be role models for your child. Our program is both recreational and educational, designed to meet the various needs of growing children. You do not need to be a member to participate. Our curriculum offers enriching activities in areas such as:

Your child will be provided activity choices where they can make friends, learn, play and thrive. Each week features a different theme.

Before and After School Care is offered at 50 locations throughout the metro area and Western Wisconsin. The program is held inside the elementary school or at the YMCA. Children walk to / from class with programs held a the school. School bus transportation can be arranged with some local school for programs held at the YMCA. Safety is our top priority and a designated staff person will assist your child on and off the bus at the YMCA.

Release Days are full day recreational programs available on school workshop days and vacation breaks. We feature exciting field trips, group games, sports, swimming, crafts, cooking projects and a lot of fun. Each day has a different theme.
